Questions

How do I transfer files from phone to laptop without USB?

Open fdrop.cc on the phone and the laptop on the same Wi-Fi. Upload on the phone and the file shows up on the laptop, ready to download.

Does it work with Mac and Linux too?

Yes. fdrop runs in the browser, so any computer with a modern browser works.

Is fdrop free?

Yes. There is no account, no app and no payment. Upload files up to 1 GB each and share them for as long as you choose, from 1 hour to 30 days.

How long are files kept?

2 hours by default. You can pick 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days before uploading. After that the file is deleted automatically, and you can delete it earlier yourself.

Is it private?

Files travel over HTTPS, are stored encrypted at rest and get a random link that is not listed anywhere. Only devices on your own network see files in the “On your network” list, and you can turn that off per upload.
