Looking for files…

WeTransfer asks for email addresses and verification codes. fdrop skips all of that: drop the file and you immediately get a link you can paste anywhere.

You decide how long it lives, from 1 hour to 30 days, and you can delete it early from the device you uploaded on.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload

Drop one or more files, up to 1 GB each.

  2. 2

    Copy the link

Each file gets a short fdrop.cc link.

  3. 3

    Send it anywhere

Paste it into any chat or email. The receiver just taps Download.

Questions

Do I need an email address?

No. fdrop never asks for an email, a name or a phone number.

Can I delete a file before it expires?

Yes. The browser you uploaded from shows a Delete button for your files. Other people never see it.

Is fdrop free?

Yes. There is no account, no app and no payment. Upload files up to 1 GB each and share them for as long as you choose, from 1 hour to 30 days.

How long are files kept?

2 hours by default. You can pick 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days before uploading. After that the file is deleted automatically, and you can delete it earlier yourself.

Is it private?

Files travel over HTTPS, are stored encrypted at rest and get a random link that is not listed anywhere. Only devices on your own network see files in the “On your network” list, and you can turn that off per upload.
