Looking for files…

Email stops at 25 MB and most chat apps compress videos. fdrop sends the original file, up to 1 GB, and gives you a short link to share however you like.

Big files are uploaded in parallel chunks with automatic retries, so a flaky connection doesn’t mean starting over.

Questions

What is the largest file I can send?

1 GB per file. You can upload several files at once, each gets its own link.

Do downloads resume if they stop?

Yes. Download links support resuming, so a browser or download manager can continue an interrupted download.

Is fdrop free?

Yes. There is no account, no app and no payment. Upload files up to 1 GB each and share them for as long as you choose, from 1 hour to 30 days.

How long are files kept?

2 hours by default. You can pick 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days before uploading. After that the file is deleted automatically, and you can delete it earlier yourself.

Is it private?

Files travel over HTTPS, are stored encrypted at rest and get a random link that is not listed anywhere. Only devices on your own network see files in the “On your network” list, and you can turn that off per upload.
